Equipment Checkout System


Lane has a number of departments that loan equipment to students and employees. To date, most have concocted their own way of tracking the equipment with varying degrees of success.  This project will standardize Lane on a single application that can be used for tracking any kind of equipment inventory with separate buckets for each department.  Not only will it be a more efficient and secure way of loaning and tracking inventory, but it will also give departments a way to track usage of specific equipment allowing them to make better buying decisions in the future.

Goals & Objectives

  1. Purchase Snipe-IT annual license
  2. Configure software for IT and SHeD loaner equipment
  3. Hook up to single-sign-on (LDAP or AD)
  4. Document processes and create training that can be used to roll out other departments across campus
